I have them and I need to not have them anymore. But I also really want to give them to friends who think they would like them. Shortlist, right now, because I'm still in the process of going through stuff. These are all books that I have
duplicates of rather than simply books I don't particularly care for.
Marion Zimmer Bradley:
The Forbidden Tower
The Heritage of Hastur
Sharra's Exile
Adriana Trigiani:
Big Stone Gap
L. Frank Baum: (my brother has
first dibs at claimed these)
The Tin Woodman of OZ
The Land of OZ
The Lost Princess of OZ
Rinkitink in Oz
Roald Dahl:
The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar and Six More
Ruth Sawyer:
Roller Skates
I will (hopefully) have more to add to this list at a later date. For now, just let me know!
OK, If brother does not want the L. Frank Baum books I would love to have them as I have never read them and want to. I would like to know what other Ronald Dahl books you have the reading level on them as I may request a few for Nathaniel. Let me know and I can send you the cost to mail them media mail to me :)
ReplyDeleteThe OZ ones are sort of a random selection (#2, 10, 11 & 12 in the series) but can def. be read as standalones, so sure thing! He may only want Tin Woodman, as that was technically his once upon a time. The Roald Dahl I'm willing to part with is a single volume w/ 7 shorts. According to Amazon, it's appropriate for ages 9-12, although those age ranges are (I'm sure) fairly flexible. As soon as I hear back from Jon, I'll let you know about the Baums.
ReplyDeleteOh, I should also tell you -- I'm pretty sure most if not all of the OZ books (as well as a number of Baum's other books) are available for free download on www.gutenberg.org as they're all in the public domain. A few of them are even available as audiobooks.
ReplyDeleteJust texted Jon & he *does* want them. Sorry! But def check out Project Gutenberg!
